What is the End-of-the-World Dilemma Called a #? and How Can I Save Our Planet?

What is the End-of-the-World Dilemma Called a #? and How Can I Save Our Planet? When the Earth stops spinning on its axis and its rotational velocity decreases, then we will be headed for a catastrophe called a #? or a climactic nuclear war. The energy crisis that I speak of is called a #?? if you know what I mean. That's the point where not only will there be no more gas available but there will be no more oil available. You may be wondering, 'What can I do?' When your car dies of a broken fuel line, or your heater breaks down, what should you do? Well, you should buy some new automobile parts that can be resold at a profit. You can pick up some used auto parts at a local auto parts store or eBay.If you want to save the environment and make your car go even farther, then a #? becomes necessary. You need to replace the gasoline with electric power for the main electrical system of your car. The power inverter is a device that converts electricity into gasoline or other types of energy. For example, when you use the car's cigarette lighter to light a cigarette, the ignition coil in the cigarette is converted to electricity which is then used to power the car.You can do this by installing a new thermostat in your car's ignition system. There are special thermostats that allow you to control the amount of air flow into the car. This is where your car's heater needs to be adjusted to allow the air to circulate more evenly around the car. You will have to adjust the thermostat to match the temperature of the air in the car to the temperature of the heat available. You can also replace the car's oil with an electric motor that will run the vehicle only when it is turned on or when the car's oil is in a particular temperature range. If you need more details, then search the internet for electric car conversion kits. You may have heard about a natural gas powered car. This is an excellent option for cars that use a lot of natural gas like your RV or the small car you use t o commute to work. These cars do not require any fossil fuels. They use electricity to run their electric motors. The alternative fuel, natural gas, has some advantages that are not yet being explored. If you have an old car, or you plan to buy a new car, then it is best to learn more about this topic before you choose which method to go with. You may be surprised to find out that there are several ways to utilize natural gas.

10 Ways To Quicken Your Math Problem Solving - The Key To Scoring Top Marks In Class

10 Ways To Quicken Your Math Problem Solving - The Key To Scoring Top Marks In Class Math is singularly difficult for most people to work with. While for some, arithmetic with large numbers is daunting, for others calculus and trig are nightmarish! There are many effective techniques that can help student cope with math troubles and help with their math anxiety and students often turn towards experts and look to employ the best online math tutor to perform better. Here are a couple of tricks and tips to help students work with math easily. #Tip 1: Addition of large numbers Additions have been proverbially difficult for people to work with especially if it involves huge numbers. Doing the math in their head is difficult and yet one might need to do so during the normal course of life! Mastering this tricky issue is possible in this fashion: Make the numbers into multiples of ten and add them up. Determine what should be added to the numbers (that are multiples of ten) to make them equal to the original equation and simply add those figures up! For example, adding the numbers 457 and 568 seem difficult in your head. Round them off to multiples of ten first and you can either round them as 460 and 570 or 450 and 560 depending on whether you are comfortable with additions or subtractions? Add them up and they give you either 1030 or 1010. Add 3 and 2 in the first case and this gives you 5 and in the second case, the addition gives you 15 (7+8). Subtract in the first case and add in the second case from 1030 and 1010 respectively. This yields 1015 and 1015 which is the answer! #Tip 2: Subtraction from 1000 is ever so easy Do you find it hard to subtract a number from 1000? Here’s a simple rule to follow: Subtract every number from the digit 9 except for the last one. Subtract the last one from 10. For example, subtract 457 from 1000. You can work this out as 9-4, 9-5 and 10-7 which gives us 543 which is the right answer. #Tip 3: Multiply 5 with any number of your choice In this case, we have to consider two cases: even and odd. When you multiply 5 with an even number, it usually results in a zero at the last digit and with a 5 when the number is odd. Even number rule: Halve the number to be multiplied and add a zero to the end. Odd number rule: Subtract one from the odd number, halve the result and add five in the last digit for the result. For example, multiplying 26 with 5 works this way: 26/2 = 13 and add a zero at the end and this will give us 130. Similarly, when we multiply 33 with 5, the rule is applied as follows: (33-1) = 32/2 = 16. Adding a five at the end gives us 165 which is the right answer. #Tip 4: Tricks to help with division To find out if a number is divisible by the following numbers, employ these tricks: If the number ends in a zero, it is most certainly divisible by 10. If the sum of the digits adds up to nine, it is divisible by 9. When the last 3 digits of the number are evenly divisible by 8 or are 3 zeroes such as 000, the number is divisible by 8. If the number is even and the sum of the digits is evenly divisible by three, the number is divisible by 6. If the number ends with a five or zero, it is divisible by 5. If the number ends with the last 2 digits that are evenly divisible by 4 or are 00, the number is divisible by 4. When the sum of the numbers adds up to a number that is evenly divisible by 3, it is divisible by 3. If the last digit of the number is either 0,2,4,6 or 8, the number is divisible by 2. Such tricks are very helpful not only in exams; they also serve as excellent math homework help and bring down the time students spend on homework. #Tip5: Multiplying a number by 9 There is a simple rule to work with multiplication by 9 and it goes like this: Subtract 1 from the number in question and subtract the result from 9. The first number of the result is formed by the first result and the second number is formed by the second subtraction. For instance, multiply 6with 9. (61) = 5 is the first part of the result and the second part is (9-5) = 4. Thus, the result is 54. #Tip 6: Multiplying with 10 and 11 For 10, the rule is very simple and it goes like this: Add zero at the end to the number and the result is readily available. For example, 99*10 = 990 (just add 0 at the end to 99 and you get 990). For 11, the rule goes like this: Take the 2 digit number and put a blank between it and add the 2 digits and fill it in the blank. In case the result of the addition is another 2 digit number, add the last digit to the centre and add one to the digit before. For example, 76*11 = 7_6. In the blank add (7+6 = 13, so add the last digit 3) and add one to the first digit in 7_6 = (7+1)36 = 836. #Tip 7: Percentages are ever so tricky It is very easy to work put % with the following trick. To find 5% of 435, do the following: Move the decimal point over by one place in 435 and it becomes 43.5. Now, divide the result by 2 and this is the answer to the problem. Thus, 43.5/2 = 21.75% is the right answer. #Tip 8: Squaring a 2 digit number ending in 5 in a jiffy Multiply the first digit with its subsequent number (number + 1) and add one to it. Add 25 at the end to this result. For squaring 35 quickly, do the following: 3*(3+1) = 12. Add 25 to the end this makes it 1025. 5 Vedic #Math Secrets for Every Student to be a Math Genius http://t.co/MMgHewbMkX pic.twitter.com/RcUK3vAsmf â€" Tutor Pace (@TutorPace) September 21, 2015 #Tip 9: Difficult multiplication Multiplying two large numbers is very difficult; here is an easy way to do it. If one number is even, divide the first number by half and for the second number, double it. 20*130 = (20/2) * (130*2) = 10* 260 = 2600. #Tip 10: To multiply numbers that end with a 0 Simply add the zeroes in the numbers at the end and multiply the rest of the digits. For example, when you add 400 and 3000, there are 5 zeroes in total. Add them at the end and multiply 4 and 3 and add it at the beginning. 120000 is thus the answer. Where to Study Accounting in the UK

Where to Study Accounting in the UK Where Can You Study Accounting in the UK? ChaptersAccounting Classes in LondonAccounting Courses in Edinburgh.Learn Accounting in Cardiff.Studying Accounting in Belfast.Classes in Accounting in ManchesterAccounting Classes in BirminghamLearn Accounting in LeedsAccounting Courses in GlasgowIt is undoubtedly true that money makes the world go ‘round. The question is: who accounts for all of that money?Accounting firms, that's who!And you could too: by taking accounting classes, either as an undergraduate earning an accounting degree or through any of the accounting programs offered by accounting associations. What is an accounting association?Accounting associations, such as the Association for Accounting Technicians and the Association of International Accountants, all offer guidance and regulation updates to their members. They all also offer accounting classes  in financial accounting, managerial accounting, tax accounting and auditing to anyone who seeks the knowledge and skills that will lead to a satisfying career in acc ounting. Are looking for another way to earn your living? Are you hoping to gain new skills to make you more competitive on the job market?Maybe you are an entry-level manager with an eye on your boss’ job.Or perhaps you have long dreamed of entrepreneurship: going into business for yourself, but you need to know all about budgeting,  bookkeeping and cost accounting. In all of these situations and more, learning the principles of accounting  from an accredited course can only benefit you.Let’s go find out where, throughout the UK, you can learn  accounting concepts.Getting into Accounting.Accounting, obviously, is a bit of a big industry. There are the big four auditors, all the professional bodies, and the tiny little accountancy firms you see popping up all over the shop. It's a big industry simply because every business and their dog needs an accountant! Big firms are inevitably going to need to have an audit at some point (done by external accountants) - and they will have their own in-house managerial accountants too. So, thinking of how many businesses there are in this country, it's no surprise that there are plenty of accountants too.But these guys have an awful lot of power - as it's them that deals with all the cash! Tax payments, collection of money, paying employees, and keep track of all the comings and goings of the funds. These guys need to be on their A-game all the time, because businesses need accurate financial statements - otherwise they get in trouble with the government (or not, as things may be).External accountants - or auditors - make sure that the internal accounting department is doing what it needs to be doing. They give advice on how to streamline or restructure accounting and financial processes in organisations, and they take a look at the financial statements created by the accountants to make sure everything is up to scratch. This is important, because lenders and financial services providers need to know whether a company's fi nances are sound before they have anything to do with them. So, a lot of responsibility. And with the responsibility comes the requirement for dudes like you to prove that you can take that responsibility. That's why accounting qualifications make up such a big industry too. One, because applicants know that it's a good route to a respectful job and nice pay packet. Two, because all businesses are after accountants. And three, because accounting courses can cost a small fortune. If you like numbers and things though, it is worth it in the end.The Different Types of Accounting Qualifications. But, the accounting qualification industry has led to a huge proliferation of different courses, accrediting bodies, and qualifications, each with their dreadfully confusing little acronym: CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT, and so on. These are things you'll put after your name once you have sat the course (it's the little things that matter, eh!).But whilst they all look interchangeable, they aren't reall y, not necessarily. The content pretty much is shared, with various different specialisations, but the course structures differ - depending on the dictates of the accounting body that accredit them.Let's take them in order, for the lols. The ACA.The first is CA, which stands simply for Chartered Accountant. You can only use these letters if you are member of the ICAS (another acronym!), which is the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland. This is the oldest chartered accountant institute in the world - as it happens. However, the course they offer is the same as the ICAEW (sorry), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. This is the ACA course,  and it's methods are, these days, quite peculiar. You have, from the start of the course, five years to complete it - and the fifteen exams it involves. However, you have to gain 450 days of experience with an  accredited employer, to whom you are tied for the duration of that time. The good news is that the ACA is o ne of the most in-demand type of accountant - so you'll probably end up with a tidy job at the end of all this. The ACCA.To make matters lovely and simple (thanks, accountants), the other main accounting qualification is called the ACCA: Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. To be certified  is not necessarily better, it's literally just an extra adjective. These guys ask that you do three years of relevant experience throughout the course, but they don't have that rule about the employer.Regardless, this is a well-reputed qualification that will get you walking with swagger after graduation - or at least as much swagger as an accountant can muster. The CIMA.The CIMA follows a similar structure as the ACCA, but as its name - the Chartered Institute for Management Accountants - suggests, this is to train  management  accountants, those guys working within companies.Again three years experience with exams. The AAT.Which leaves us with the AAT courses, those from the  Association of Accounting Technicians.  'Technicians' presumably to make accounting sound a little sexier - who knows. These provide the more foundational accounting courses - i.e. the ones that you will study  before  you take a course accredited by one of the above. They do diplomas and certificates, and are usually offered by vocational colleges. It's a really important first step in accounting, as you'll learn all the basics before you gain the professional experience. The question would be: studies of what? And you would be quite right in asking, too!The general label of accountant does the profession a discredit. Most people have this idea that accountants are dull people with little social acumen and a penchant for numbers but, where the profession of accounting is concerned, dull is the least of the descriptors! In fact, accountants excel at detecting patterns. They are analytical and careful planners, for all that they are risk takers. It does seem odd to juxtapose allegedly stodgy number c runchers with, say, someone who routinely jumps out of planes. Still, you might find that risk takers are more meticulous  and analytical than commonly thought of.So, if you have an eye for detail and are looking for a rock-solid career, you could find even more accounting courses in London.Accounting Courses in Edinburgh.Edinburgh is the home to the ICAS, and is a place full of banks, fintech start-ups, and plenty of auditors, accounting firms, and other people relevant to the discipline. If you live in the city, you'll find plenty of opportunities that rightly suit your needs - as it's a vibrant business hub with all sorts of educational institutions.Firstly, there is the hugely prestigious University of Edinburgh. Rather than an accounting  undergraduate  degree - which some universities offer - they offer an accounting Master's straight off the bat. This means that you'll leave school and go straight into a four-year MA course and come out pretty much qualified. The course is ac credited by CIMA, ICAS, ICAEW, and ACCA, so you won't be wasting any time. Then there is the course at the Edinburgh Business School, which makes up part of Heriot-Watt University. They offer an MBA and an MA in Financial Management. Both are made up in large part by accounting modules - and these too are accredited by the same bodies. So, these courses contribute to the larger accounting qualifications but will not in themselves qualify you. Finally, Edinburgh College offers a load of AAT courses - levels three and four - which will prepare you to begin one of the other courses. They also offer HNCs and HNDs in accounting and finance for those who need some extra qualifications before they can enroll in a university.Learn more about accounting courses in Edinburgh!Learn Accounting in Cardiff.Cardiff too is a great place to learn accounting. You'll have plenty of business schools and universities offering accredited courses,  as well as private training centres. Remember, there is als o Superprof, whose tutors can help you with anything you fancy - including passing those many accounting exams.Like any big university, the University of Cardiff's Business School offers undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in accounting that are accredited by CIMA, ACCA, and ICAEW. If you've just left school determined to be an accountant, this is an appropriate course to take - because you don't need to decide which larger qualification to go for right now. There's a nice opportunity for a placement year too.AAT courses are available at your Cardiff and Vale College, one of the biggest colleges in the whole of the UK. Alongside thirty thousand other students, you can study at lots of different campuses across the city. The Department for Business, Finance, Administration, and Accounting is where you will want to be, as they offer AAT courses full time or part time starting every September.Learn more about accounting courses in Cardiff!economic growth in that area exceedin g the national rate by several percentage points, surely there must be sharp financial management at work! You might train in business accounting with the Pittman Training Group; What is it Like to Attend Kenyon College

What is it Like to Attend Kenyon College The tutors behind Varsity Tutors are not just here to teach theyre sharing their college experiences as well. Anna lives in Cleveland and specializes in French tutoring. She is a current student at Kenyon College. See what she had to share about her experiences at Kenyon College: Describe the campus setting and transportation options at Kenyon College. Anna: Kenyon College exists in a very small bubble in rural Ohio. The campus is very safe, but also very secluded from any urban surroundings. The campus has a kind of small-town feel, and farms and fields surround it. Theres a shuttle that takes you into town a few times a week, but the campus is small and most people get around via bikes. How available are the professors, academic advisers, and teaching assistants? Anna: Ive found that professors, academic advisers, and teaching assistants are always extremely available and willing to meet for extra help or discussion. In that way, Kenyon College presents students with opportunities to develop close relationships with their academic higher-ups. How would you describe the dorm life rooms, dining options, location, socialization opportunities with other students? Anna: The dorms are better than most dorms Ive seen at other schools, and though theres only one cafeteria, the food isnt too bad. Most of the dorms are about five to 10 minutes away from the cafeteria by foot, which can be an issue in the winter; but by having only one cafeteria, theres really a sense of community/family that surrounds mealtime. Which majors/programs are best represented and supported at Kenyon College? Anna: Kenyon College is known for their English program, and from the very first moments you step on campus, thats clear. They also have a fantastic Philosophy program, and a lesser-known Science program that Ive heard to be pretty strong. I am studying English there, which is a large reason I looked at Kenyon College as a prospective student in the first place. The fame surrounding their English program is based in a very rigorous course schedule, and thus far it seems really worthwhile. How easy or difficult was it for you to meet people and make friends as a freshman? Does Greek life play a significant role in the campus social life? Anna: Ive found that the comfortable atmosphere established by the school allowed me to make friends very easily. The Greek life is small and different than at most big state schools, but it still plays a large part in social life. As someone who is not actively a part of Greek life, Ive never found our Greek life to be overwhelming, elitist, or limiting. Socially, the school is very welcoming. How helpful is the Career Centerand other student support services? Anna: Ive heard from many that Kenyon Colleges Career Center is strong and has helped many alumni become successful. How are the various study areas such aslibraries, the student union, and dorm lounges? Anna: Especially during the winter, students try to make a point to get out of their dorms and study in a more social environment. Theres a coffee shop on campus that is popular among students cramming for exams, and the library has three floors (one of which is a silent floor) to provide ample space for students who may need it. Kenyon College is also known for Ascension Hall, where, on the third floor, a study room exists with velvet couches and oak-paneled walls. Its a beautiful place that is, by nature, kept completely quiet, and students who need a strong atmosphere for studying (or napping) find a lot of comfort in it. Describe the surrounding town. Anna: Between the North and the South side of campus is town, complete with a coffee shop, bookstore, market, deli, and post office. By ways of town, thats what Kenyon Colleges campus has to offer, and its central to the school, so its frequented a lot by students. Outside of campus (about a 5-minute drive), theres a town where you can buy basic goods or go antiquing. Its not a booming city, which is why most students stay on campus and consider going to the deli a meal out on the town. How big or small is the student body at Kenyon College? Were you generally pleased or displeased with the typical class sizes? Anna: The student body has about 1,600 students, so in comparison to a typical state school, its very small. The size does have its advantages, though, including fostering a comfortable and welcoming community as well as allowing an individual course size of about 12 students at most, which gives much more one-on-one time with professors. Describe one memorable experience with a professor and/or class. Perhaps one you loved the most or one youregretthe most. Anna: My first semester, I took an English class with Professor Matz about the art of writing the mind. It was a fascinating class, and it fit the mold, to me, of what a college class was going to be: discussion-based and encouraging of independent thinking. At the end of the semester, the professor invited the entire class to his house across the street, where he had prepared an amazing meal for us and allowed us to stay for hours roaming through the historical knick-knacks of his home and talking intently with his partner. I was scared of this entire interaction going into teachers houses seemed crazy to me but within seconds of being there, I was enjoying myself and completely amazed that a professional was willing to spend his night with all of us, talking about nonsense and getting to know us as individuals apart from our academics. Why Music is a Great Extracurricular Activity

Why Music is a Great Extracurricular Activity Being well-rounded for college applications is of course one of the top reasons students join school organizations and clubs. However, there are a lot more benefits to be gained from extracurricular activities than extra bullet points on the resum. Extracurriculars can boost college successas well! With such an extensive selection of groups to choose from, how do you pick? You can find everything from sports to more academically-inclined societies to areas of the fine arts. One area of the fine arts that can be particularly good for students is music. It is difficult to find someone who does not enjoy and appreciate music on at least some level, so joining a music-related organization should be a no-brainer for many students who are looking for that perfect extracurricular. Your mainstream options in this field are band, orchestra, and choir each of them have great things to offer that can really give a student the support they need in a busy academic schedule. Often, students will fear that a time-consuming extracurricular activity will aggrandize their workload and increase stress levels, but the typical result is quite the opposite. In fact, most students end up learning to prioritize a lot better when they have highly demanding extracurriculars in their schedule. So why choose music? What music offers is much more detail-oriented programs that also allow students the opportunity to learn a whole new skill. Learning to play music is a challenge that lets students exercise their brain in new ways. While some may feel this would be another burden of material to learn on top of an already hectic homework load, it can actually be a soothing relief for the brain to give the student a healthy break from schoolwork but still keep his or her mind working. Many people find learning, playing, and listening to music to be therapeutic, so being so engaged in it on a regular basis could give a student great emotional stability as well. You may also want to check out these tips on how to make the most of college extracurriculars. One major element of these music-related activities that gets overlooked is the team aspect of them. An important thing to remember is that sports are not the only endeavor available for students looking to be part of a team effort. Being a part of a musical ensemble creates an incredibly special sense of belonging that all students are comfortably welcomed into. It takes every singer and every instrumentalist to produce the big sound that ultimately emerges from the group. No one is ever on the bench, so to speak. Additionally, music is never a one-size-fits-all opportunity. There are several different parts of the ensemble that you can fit into. For instance, the choir needs a plethora of different voices for different ranges and keys, rather than a hundred people singing the same part. Discovering if you are a soprano, a tenor, or something else can be an interesting new fact about yourself that you never knew before. You may surprise yourself as to what you can do with that voice of yours! When it comes to band and orchestra, of course, you have the many various instruments to choose from. No one will force you to play anything you dont want to, so the infinite possibilities of what instrument you might take on can be quite exciting. If you are absolutely clueless as to what these instruments are all about, ask the respective music teacher they should be happy to guide you through the selection process. Make sure you really take some time to investigate and make your final decision about what instrument you will play, because you will hopefully be investing some serious time in it. If youre lucky, it could end up being your new passion. The strong possibility of that new passion is another reason to consider music as an extracurricular. In addition to taking on the activity as a whole, you will find a new individual responsibility that could significantly increase your involvement and give you a personal hobby to enjoy. Students who invest in such an idea will typically be more encouraged to bring that creative and critical thinking to school every day and hopefully apply it more often to their classes. Never underestimate the power of having something to be excited about and how it can positively affect your daily experiences in this case, the educational experience. Joining a musical ensemble creates a comfort zone for students to express their creativity and let it blossom in a place where their peers are having the exact same goals. Plus, events like extra practices, concerts, and competitions provide that exciting incentive to keep going. With this at the end of a school day, a student has many reasons to stay bright and interested in their academic world. If anything, the activity allows for an intriguing new area of learning, which is always a good thing.
